Service

SubToRaw is a Japanese language learning platform. It generates interactive flashcards and grammar exercises from short excerpts of anime dialogue, using spaced repetition (SRS) to help users retain vocabulary and grammar patterns.

Free preview

Non-logged-in visitors may try 5 preview cards without an account. Logged-in free users receive up to 2 new cards and 8 review cards per day, with full SRS tracking. Unlimited access requires a paid subscription.

Paid subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Paid users receive unlimited cards, access to all anime series, and persistent SRS tracking across devices. You may cancel anytime from your account page. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase.

Content and fair use

SubToRaw uses short audio and video excerpts from anime for the purpose of language education. These excerpts are presented as interactive learning exercises (fill-in-the-blank, vocabulary flashcards, listening comprehension) and are not intended for entertainment consumption. SubToRaw does not host, stream, or redistribute full episodes or substantial portions of copyrighted works.

DMCA and copyright

SubToRaw respects the intellectual property rights of content creators. If you believe any material on SubToRaw infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA takedown notice to [email protected] with: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) identification of the infringing material and its location on SubToRaw, (3) your contact information, and (4) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized. We will respond promptly to valid notices.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: scrape, download, or redistribute content from SubToRaw; share your account credentials; use the service to circumvent copyright protections; or use automated tools to access the service.

Liability

SubToRaw is provided as-is. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes. Use at your own discretion.

Referral Program

Active paid subscribers may earn referral credits by sharing their unique referral link. When a referred user creates an account and subscribes to a paid plan, the referrer earns a $5 credit applied to their next invoice.

  • Maximum $5 credit redeemed per billing cycle. Unused credit rolls over to subsequent cycles.
  • Referral codes are deactivated if the referrer cancels their subscription. Existing unredeemed credits are forfeited upon cancellation.
  • Self-referrals (referring your own accounts) are prohibited and will result in forfeiture of all credits.
  • Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged or withdrawn.
  • SubToRaw reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time without notice.
  • Abuse of the referral program (fake accounts, incentivized signups, bot traffic) will result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of all credits.
  • Credits are applied as a balance adjustment on your Stripe billing. They reduce the amount charged on your next invoice.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
